As a digital partner of Deutsche Bahn, DB Systel operates its own LoRaWAN network, among other things. Based on this LoRaWAN network, DB Systel offers the Group companies a con-nectivity service for the Internet of Things (IoT). DB Systel also develops and operates scalable end-to-end services based on LoRaWAN.
Both indoor gateways and outdoor gateways are used to ensure LoRaWAN radio coverage at the various Deutsche Bahn sites. The gateway infrastructure is managed centrally by DB Sys-tel.
