ProcurDat is an open data platform for public procurement. Its goal is to provide structured, machine-readable, and transparent procurement data from diverse sources, enabling municipalities, businesses, and the public to better understand and utilize procurement processes more efficiently.
At its core, ProcurDat is developing a standardized data exchange format for relevant content from tender documents, as well as data-driven services for practical application. These include features that can more quickly match tenders with potentially suitable companies, thereby reducing research efforts. This strengthens competition, increases the visibility of tenders, and improves the data foundation for analysis and decision-making.
ProcurDat is funded under the BMBF's (Federal Ministry of Education and Research) funding guideline "Data-Oriented Value Creation" (DigiLeistDAT). Key partners are Dataport AöR and the University of Bremen, complemented by municipal and institutional partners from the field. The platform combines research and application with the aim of making public procurement more digital, open, and effective.
